The Crypto Hall of Fame Goes El Salvador

Diego Gutiérrez (centre) gets inducted to the Hall of Fame at Bitcoin 2021 which took place Miami in June 2021.

A new member of the Crypto Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Latin American Bitcoin Conference, which will take place in El Salvador from November 15 to 20.

This is the process:

PUBLIC SUGGESTIONS
Everyone can suggest candidates via this form. Please use it to make sure your favourite crypto pioneers are on the short list!  The deadline for this is November 1st.

SHORT LISTING
We will check if the suggested candidates really deserve to be inducted. They should be active in the crypto space for at least seven years and have achieved something important. This leads to the short list for the first voting round.

FIRST VOTING ROUND
The members of the selection committee can give up to three votes to the candidates of their choice. The two candidates with the most votes will enter the second and final voting round.

SECOND VOTING ROUND
The members of the selection committee can give one vote to the candidate of their choice. The candidate with the most votes will be inducted to the Crypto Hall of Fame in a ceremony which will be held during Labitconf in El Salvador, probably on November 19th.

The members of the selection committee are:
Olga Filatova (Museum of Crypto Art)
Eryka Gemma (Bitcoin Miami)
Roger Benites (Bitcoin Center New York)
Amelia Tomasicchio (The Cryptonomist)
Alexandra Kons (Be-in-Crypto)
Martin Lee (Cointelegraph)
Pete Rizzo (Bitcoin Magazine)
Mark Edge (Free Talk Live)
Aaron Koenig (Moonstock Crypto Art)
